About the Presenters:

Chris Gallegos is the owner of Growing Communications, a communications firm that specializes in PR and social media for small businesses and non-profits. Chris worked as a journalist for 15 years after attending the University of Colorado in Boulder. During his time as a journalist, he worked for the Denver Post, KOA/KHOW radio, KUSA-TV and WB-TV. He also freelanced for MetroNetworks as a reporter. He worked as a reporter and anchor in radio, and produced "The Peter Boyles Show" as well as Jay Marvin. As a television producer, he produced 9Wants to Know with Paula Woodward as well as various morning news programs. After leaving news, he worked as a freelance magazine writer, being published in local and national magazines such as Maxim, Outdoor Magazine, Golf Digest, Cat Fancy, 5280 and Colorado Sports Magazine. During this time, he also produced two documentaries which aired on The Golf Channel and Rocky Mountain PBS respectively. Chris moved into Public Relations, eventually handling accounts such as Shell Oil, Chase Bank, Cabella's, Krogers/King Soopers and the inaugural Colorado Colfax Marathon. He left to start his own firm in 2007 after realizing that it's the small businesses and non-profits that really need the PR and social media assistance. Since then, he's worked with many small businesses and non-profits, helping them grow their bottom lines.
